Abbeville Village

“Open, airy, relaxed, clean lines, natural tones and some blue accents.” This is the brief I received from the new owners of a four-storey property, located off Abbeville Road in Clapham. The house, which had been refurbished in 2015 by a real estate developer, was in serious need of a more personal touch. Throughout the design process, I aimed to introduce different textures such as wood veneer details, silk effect wall coverings, marble, and so on, to give the feeling of elegance that the American-British couple wanted. I also designed the custom joineries, among them a stylish yet functional utility room with walnut doors, that conceal everything but the wine.
